About PrimoTECS
We are based in the Turin-metropolitan-area, in northern Italy, exactly named in Avigliana. We are focussing on long heritage , we are striving to co-design & to provide steel-solutions for transmission, engine and components.
Our knowledge bases upon precised manufacturing of forged steel components. Our forging-technologies include cold and warm forging, as well as heat- treatment with relative machining, an inhouse tooling-shop.

Historical background until today
Avigliana
The first stone for construction of the plant in Avigliana has been put in 1891 by the Vandel & C. Still today it is a total area of nearly 200 thousand sqm. 26 years later, in 1917, it becomes a FIAT company.
The legal unit “Tekfor Spa” has been established in 1998, in the property of Teksid SpA, that has been owned by Fiat Group. Up from 27th of Oct 1998 the plant becomes part of the German Neumayer Tekfor Group. The 1st of June 2013 it becomes an Amtek Group Company and has been part afterwards of KKR. It shows therefore a more than 20 years experience with a German group.
The successful acquisition of both Italian plants, Villar Perosa and Avigliana, by Mutares SE & Co KGaA has taken place this year on January 31st, 2020. Today’s production-processes are focusing on cold- & warm forging.
